Illinois Public Domain Land Tract Sales to Patentees, 1821-1857
(for that portion of Township 9, Range 11, that is in Jersey Co., IL)
Alphabetical index for the above plot that includes all the Land Owners by Last Name, Middle Name(s), Legal Description, Section #(and Tract # within each Section), # of Acres, Date Purchased, County or State of Purchaser, and occasional comments. Contributed by Robert E. Ford. Bob used Deed Plotter+ (DP+) to plot the tracts for the original IL Public Domain tract sales to Patentees for that part of Township 9, Range 11 that is located within Jersey County, then numbered the tracts in each section and added the Patentees name and the year the tract was acquired from the U.S. Government. Early Land Entries
Less information than record above. Abstracted from Bureau of Land Management, Eastern States, General Land Office, U. S. Dept. of Interior. We are indebted to Harry Nelms, for this huge project, who unselfishly downloaded these records from the GLO site and contributed his expertise for this display. Thanks also to Gloria Frazier.
