Thomas W. Kirby
Thomas W. (or T.W. to some) KIRBY, Jr., grandfather of Kirby Heard. Thomas is in the center of the 2nd row of 3 seated boys, sort of behind another boy’s hat. we’ve never been quite certain what exactly they’re doing, or what ‘detail’ they’re on, but it appears to be organized, and not against their will . T. W. was born 1902 so I’d say this photo is ca. 1915? I assume it’s in Jersey county although someone (Marty?) once guessed some work along the river road, say, around Alton or so…he was born in Champaign but in Jerseyville by then, I think.
Can anyone identify what group the boys are with or where the location might be? Or who some of the other boys might be?
