David CRULL was born in Germany, circa 1751, and the son of Martin and Lottie LOTZ CRULL. He immigrated to the colonies circa 1760, along with two brothers, William and Henry and one sister, Mary. One can first find his record in Monongalia, Virginia (now WVA). He and his family moved from there to Scioto County, Ohio circa 1805. His wife was Nancy Ann BENNETT, the daughter of Charles and Martha COLLINS BENNETT.
David’s children were William; Samuel; Jemima, David; CHARLES, Henry, Susan and John C.
Charles CRULL, born 16 Mar 1782, Monongalia, Va., married Elizabeth CRAMER, born 30 Jan 1788. They had the following children, Thomas Jefferson; Andrew Jackson; JOHN C. ; Elizabeth; Mary Ann; and Rachel.
John C. CRULL, was born 29 Aug. 1820 in Scioto county, Ohio. He married Sarah Ann HUGHES, the daughter of Henry Hughes and Keziah KELLY. Sarah was born 24 Nov 1822 in Lucasville, Scioto County, Ohio and she and John had 3 children, JAMES LEWIS, Charles and Mary.
James Lewis CRULL was born 14 June 1846 in Rosedale township, Jersey County, Illinois. He married Elizabeth “Lizzie” SMITH, the daughter of Robert Levi and Maria FOLSON SMITH. Lizzie and James had the following children; James L. “Bird”; EZRA LEWIS; Darius E.; Bertha R.; Sarah “Mina” and Lula Mae.
Ezra Lewis CRULL, “Ez” was born 23 Mar. 1878 in Rosedale township, Jersey County, Illinois and married Leola MYERS, daughter of Samuel James and Katherine SIMPSON MYERS. Leola was born 14 Sep 1886 in Newbern, Jersey County, Illinois. She and Ez had the following: Lizzie Frances; James Lewis; Mildred Lucille “Millie”; Dorothea “Dot”; Robert Smith “Bob”; Paul Everett’ Alma June; Anna May; Mabel Marie; and WARREN LAVERNE “BUD”.
Bud CRULL was married twice. He was born 16 Mar. 1927 in Rosedale, Jersey County, Illinois. His first wife was Dorothy Mae MARGESON, daughter of Jesse and Hazel DANIELS MARGESON. Dorothy was born in Kane, Greene County, Illinois 27 Feb. 1928. She died in 1953. Bud and Dorothy had 3 children, MARVIN LEON “MARTY”; Alan Leonard; and Ezra Bruce. Bud second wife was Patsy Ann Brown and they had 3 children, Randall Lee; Rita Sue; and David Morgan. Pat had come to the marriage with two daughters.
Marty CRULL, was born in Carrollton, Greene County, Illinois on 30 Dec. 1948 and was married twice. The second wife was Kwie Nan “Ronda” KIM, born 18 Nov 1952. Ronda and Marty have one daughter, Kathy Mae and she has one son, Jonah Crull MURPHY.
